New publication: "Women’s Digital Vulnerability in the Femtech Context: Building Up Gender-Sensitive Remedies on Data Protection" (Open Access)

The chapter "Women’s Digital Vulnerability in the Femtech Context: Building Up Gender-Sensitive Remedies on Data Protection," was recently published. It is part of the book "Remedies to Digital Vulnerability in European Private Law: Pathways towards Fairness," edited by Camilla Crea and Marta Infantino.

This chapter critically evaluates the European data protection framework from a gender-sensitive perspective, recognizing women as vulnerable data subjects in the context of Femtech, while also acknowledging their participatory role in creating protection measures based on their own experiences and narratives to build gender-sensitive data protection solutions.

This discussion is part of THELMA’s analysis of the regulatory challenges posed by Femtech within the European legal system.

The book is open access and can be accessed by clicking this link.
