THELMA in the online series event “Digitalization: Feminist and Decolonial”, organized by the German Federal Agency of Civic Education (bpb) - 14/07/2026

  As part of the event series “Digitalization: Feminist and Decolonial,” organized by the German Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb), we will discuss the collection and commercialization of menstrual data, a central topic of the THELMA project. The event will take place online on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM (CET). The program features the talk “Data as a Commodity: When the Menstrual Cycle Becomes a Business Model,” which will examine how the Femtech industry has turned menstruation-related data into profit and the associated risks to women's rights.
