THELMA in the Max Planck Law - Interdisciplinary Approaches to Feminist Legal Theory Gender-Sensitive Legal Frameworks in the Age of Data Surveillance

On 30 September 2025 at 13:00 (CET), as part of the Max Planck Law Initiatives organized by the Minerva LAW (Legal and Academic Women’s) Network, we will present the initiative:

Interdisciplinary Approaches to Feminist Legal Theory: Gender-Sensitive Legal Frameworks in the Age of Data Surveillance

During the event we will explore how interdisciplinarity can contribute to the evolution of Feminist Legal Theory. It will also examine the use of mixed methods, combining legal analysis with social science approaches, to inform more gender-sensitive policies, with a special focus on the protection of women’s data rights in the context of digital surveillance.

This discussion is grounded in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral research project ‘Reproductive Health under Algorithm Surveillance (THELMA)’, led by Luana Mathias Souto within the Gender and ICT Research Group at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Spain.

The event will be held online. Click here to register!
